Camping in Arizona

America’s “Grand Canyon State” spans 113,990 square miles. Campers visit Arizona to take in the hot Sonoran Desert, iconic Colorado Plateau, and world-famous Grand Canyon. Active campers will find ample opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, and (my favorite) mountain biking. All campers will marvel at the state’s clear night skies, which make for optimal stargazing. Notable destinations include Sedona’s Red Rocks, Monument Valley, and Petrified Forest National Park.
