Camper reviews for Sawtooth National Forest
So great
Highly recommend
Great white sand beach
Great white sand beach and sunsets from the beach locations. Great area for swimming. Shallow water and floating docks off the beach. There is a beach area designated for dogs nearby this camp ground as well as the nearby Glacier View camp ground.
Camp sites close to Redfish Lake
Can easily access Redfish Lake and white sand beach from the camp ground. Some camp sites are right on the lake. Trailers and large motor homes not allowed. Many of the camp sites are “park and walk to the tent pads”. For those who care, all restroom facilities at Point Campground have flush toilets. This camp ground is also very close to the historic log-constructed Redfish Lake Lodge and bar.
Great Views of the Sawtooth Wilderness Peaks
The camp ground is not as close to Redfish Lake as the Outlet and Point camp ground, but has great views of the lake if you can get a camp site on the west side of the camp ground.
Great river access, nice hot pools
We were glad to hey a spot thanks to campnab. Super popular site. We love the hot pools after a day of hiking and playing.
Great views, nice lake access
I hesitate to write this review, because i don't want my campground to be too crowded. Great spacious campsites. Beautiful lake access. We go every year. It's one of our favorites.
Don’t come here
Seriously - it’s abysmal views and inability to get a decent signal make this place very undesirable. If you’re looking for quiet and serene - ya this isn’t the place. The turquoise waters are another turn off - I mean lakes are supposed to be dark and murky. The super dark nights make it hard to find a bathroom for the 2am call of nature.
Spectacular view
All sites have paved parking with large tables and fire pits. The area has several beach access points with all day views of the Sawtooth mountains. Close to stream fishing, lake tours, hiking, mountain biking and rafting trips. Trail from campground connects the lodge & visitor center for food, small groceries, ice etc and the kids love the smoothy ice cream.
