North Carolina has 8 million acres of parkland and geographic regions, including the Coastal Plain, Piedmont, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. North Carolina’s mild climate makes for good hiking, paddleboarding, fishing, or climbing into their visit. Notable attractions include the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (part of which is in Tennessee), Cape Hatteras National Seashore, and the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway.
