Chatfield State Park features 197 well-maintained campsites spread across four camping loops (A, B, C, and D).
Full Hookup Sites: 120 campsites with water, sewer, and 20/30/50-amp electric hookups (Loops A, B, and D)
Electric-Only Sites: 77 campsites with electricity only (Loops B and C)
Tent Camping: 34 campsites with separate tent pads in Loops B & C
Group Campsites: 10 large group sites that can accommodate up to 36 people each
ADA-Accessible Sites: 12 campsites are fully ADA-compliant for campers with disabilities
The campground operates year-round, but only Loop C remains open from mid-October through February. Winter campers still have access to showers, restrooms, and laundry facilities in Loop D, even though the loop is closed.
All campsites at Chatfield State Park are designed to offer comfort and convenience, with the following amenities:
Picnic table, fire ring, and grill at each site
Flush toilets, hot showers, and laundry facilities
WiFi access in select areas
RV dump station and potable water spigots
Playground for kids (located near sites 23 and 24)
Pet-friendly camping (Dogs must be leashed, but an off-leash dog park is available)
Firewood available for purchase from the campground host
For group camping, each group site comes with:
Four electrical pedestals (one plug per outlet)
A shared water hydrant
Central comfort station with restrooms and showers (Closed mid-October through April)

Paved roads throughout the park make it RV-friendly, even for large rigs or trailers up to 45 feet long. Vehicles taller than 13.5 feet should avoid the Deer Creek entrance.

Secondary vehicles are recommended for getting around if you’re staying in an RV.
