Located in Chatham County, Georgia approximately 8 miles southeast of Savannah, the park borders Skidaway narrows, which is part of Georgia’s intracoastal waterway. We LOVE Skidaway Island and try to get there once a year! It’s a bit pricy but beautifully maintained. All sites are big and some are MASSIVE. There are two areas with FHU including a quiet lower loop as well as a dump station for the W/E only sites. You’ll see tenters camping alongside fancy RV’s, all are welcome here under the shaded oak trees. Each site has a picnic table, fire pit/grill combo, and electric/water Three bathhouses, each with laundry are scattered around the campground. Lots of hiking trails and a neat Nature Center with fun programs. Tons of history in the area so you won’t get bored! Take the drive to Beaufort SC for even more history and amazing seafood!
Tell us when, where, and how long you want to camp for. We’ll notify you (via SMS) when a suitable spot opens up at that campground—so you can nab that sold-out campsite reservation!
