How to clear your browser cache

We actively push out updates to Campnab. These new versions include bug fixes, efficiency optimizations, and sometimes new features.

These new releases can introduce minor hiccups. For example, your web browser might hold on to a cached version of Campnab. This can cause our site to load without proper formatting—or display a blank screen.

Clearing your browser cache almost always resolves this sort of issue. As such, I’ve compiled instructions on how to clear perform this action. Just scroll down to find your operating system and browser and then follow the steps outlined.

iOS

Chrome

To clear your browser cache in Chrome on an iOS device:

  • Open Chrome
  • Tap Menu (three dots)
  • Select Delete Browsing Data
  • Choose the types of information to remove
  • Tap Delete Browsing Data
  • In the pop-up window, tap Clear Browsing Data
  • Tap Done in the top right

Firefox

To clear your browser cache in Firefox on an iOS device:

  • Open Firefox
  • Tap the menu (three dots)
  • Tap Settings
  • Scroll down to Privacy and tap Data Management
  • With the cache toggle turned on, tap Clear Private Data
  • Tap it again to confirm

Safari

To clear your browser cache in Safari on an iOS device:

  • Open Settings
  • Select Apps
  • Select Safari
  • Tap Clear History and Website Data
  • Tap Clear History to confirm

Android

Chrome

To clear your browser cache in Chrome on an Android device:

  • Open Chrome
  • Tap Menu (three dots) in the top right corner
  • Tap History
  • Tap Clear browsing data
  • Select the checkboxes for Cookies and site data and Cached images and files
  • Choose a time range to delete
  • Tap Clear browsing data to confirm

Firefox

To clear your browser cache in Firefox on an Android device:

  • Open Firefox
  • Tap the menu (three dots)
  • Select Settings
  • Tap Delete browsing data
  • Make sure the box for Cached images and files is checked
  • Tap Delete browsing data

Mac

Chrome

To clear your browser cache in Chrome on a Mac:

  • Open Chrome
  • Click menu (three dots) in the top right corner
  • Select Delete browsing data
  • Choose how far back you want to clear your data under Time range
  • Check the box for Cached images and files
  • Click Clear data
  • Changes are applied automatically; restart Chrome if needed

Firefox

To clear your browser cache in Firefox on a Mac:

  • Open Firefox
  • Select Preferences or Settings from the Firefox drop-down menu
  • Select the Privacy & Security panel
  • In the Cookies and Site Data section click Clear Data
  • Under Time range choose Everything (Make sure that only “Cached Web Content” is checkmarked)
  • Click the Clear button
  • Close the Settings page (any changes made will automatically be saved)

Safari

To clear your browser cache in Safari on a Mac:

  • Open Safari
  • Select Preferences from the Safari drop-down menu
  • Select Advanced
  • Check the Show Develop menu in menu bar box at the bottom
  • Select the Develop menu and click Empty caches

Windows

Microsoft Edge

To clear your browser cache in Edge on Windows:

  • Open Edge
  • Click the menu (three dots)
  • Select Settings
  • Select Privacy, search, and services
  • Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear
  • Select the check box next to each data type you’d like to clear
  • Select a time range
  • Select Clear now

Chrome

To clear your browser cache in Google Chrome on Windows:

  • Open Chrome
  • Click the menu (three dots)
  • Select History
  • Select Clear Browsing Data
  • Choose a time range, like Last hour or All time
  • Select the types of information you want to remove, like Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files
  • Click Clear data
  • Restart Chrome if needed

Firefox

To clear your browser cache in Firefox on Windows:

  • Open Firefox
  • Click the menu (three lines)
  • Click Settings
  • Click Privacy & Security on the left side
  • Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data
  • Click Clear Data
  • In the new dialog box, uncheck the box for Cookies and Site Data, but keep the box checked for Cached Web Content
  • Click Clear
  • Close all open Firefox instance
