I’m one of the two people working on Campnab. I like to run, ski, bike, and camp with my family and friends. (I love saunas.)
Find me:
In 2020, we added scanning for campsite cancellations at Saskatchewan’s provincial parks. We monitored those parks for a few years, and then the province changed its booking system. So, for most of last year, you couldn’t use Campnab to monitor provincial parks in Saskatchewan for availabilities.
Booking system changes happen from time to time with parks associations. Generally, we have a new integration set up when the parks’ new booking system launches (like we did with BC Parks, Canada’s national parks, state parks in Florida, and many others). Given all of the pressing tasks we had on our plates (and the relatively low demand for campsite alerts in Saskatchewan) we couldn’t get on this one for a little while.
That said, we think it’s important to provide service to as many regions as possible—even if parks in those areas aren’t quite as busy as some others. We feel that in doing so we can help more people get out camping, and prevent campsites from sitting unoccupied.
So, Eric S. recently set aside some time to integrate scanning for Saskatchewan’s provincial parks’ new booking system. I’m pleased to let you know that you can once again use Campnab to monitor Saskatchewan’s provincial parks for newly cancelled campsites—and get alerts about these openings via text message and/or email.
Would you like to know if we can alert you to openings at the park you’re interested in visiting? See the full list of parks we monitor for availabilities in Saskatchewan.
