Camper reviews for Delaware Seashore State Park

Amazing Location

Delaware Seashore State Park is just steps away from the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay. The Indian River inlet is a prime fishing spot and the north side of the inlet on the Atlantic Ocean is one of the best spots to surf in Delaware. Sunrise on the ocean and sunsets on the Rehoboth Bay are spectacular.

The park itself is located on both sides of the Indian River Inlet. It's well maintained with clean bathrooms. The staff is friendly.

Things that may be a consideration include noise, heat, and insects. While the weather was sunny and cool while I was visiting, the summers can be hot and humid. With no shade, I would imagine a tent could be brutal. The campground sits on salt marsh and if the wind is blowing from the west in the warm weather all sorts of biting insects could be a problem. Finally, The campground is right next to a suspension bridge that services a major highway. There is traffic and noise from the bridge 24/7.

The positives about this campground far out-way the negatives. It's as close to the ocean as you will get for the price!
