Palomar Mountain ( PAL-ə-mar; Spanish: Monte Palomar [paloˈmaɾ]) is a mountain ridge in the Peninsular Ranges in northern San Diego County. It is famous as the location of the Palomar Observatory and Hale Telescope, and known for the Palomar Mountain State Park.

We love camping here! The park is clean and well maintained. The fellow campers have been quiet and respectful. There are miles of great trails to explore. The clean mountain air and peaceful environment make this place one of our all time favorites!
