Quiet, Secluded, Shady, and Clean Bathrooms
Texas is hot most of the time, but when the weather is decent, this would be a good place to camp. Most of the sites have lots of shade from surrounding trees. Some are event well shrouded from the other sites. The campground is about 3/4 of a mile off the highway, so there isn't much road noise at night. The shower/restroom is pretty clean. it looks like the showers have been updated in recent years, with 3 standard stalls + an ADA stall. The Fort is an interesting exhibit to check out, although the buildings only open on Saturdays for tours.
