A Bit Isolated but a Nice Park and Campground

This park isn't near any services so stock up before you get too close to your destination. The park can be a bit dusty with the dirt road and campsites.

Small State Park near Tallahassee FL

We were part of a Trail Maintenance work crew and stayed in the campground, Site 9. Ours was one of the 2 paved sites so enjoyed having a little less dirt to track in the camper. Solid picnic table and in ground fire pit/grill at each site. The bathrooms are SPOTLESS and heated in the cooler months. Rangers and hosts were wonderful and checked in on the crew many times. Always had 2 or 3 bars on both ATT and T Mobile with several TV channels. Many miles of hiking trails (some moderate, some strenuous) which is part of the attraction. If you’re not into hiking there isn’t much else to do so bring a book and enjoy nature! The trees are on the mend and in a few years the foliage will be back between the sites. Aluminum recycling near the dumpster which is always appreciated.
