We stayed 3 nights at this park. It is very well maintained and a beautiful park! The campground is nice and park staff very friendly and helpful. The bugs can get bad right around sunset, but hey this is Florida. Will definitely stay here again!
This is one of Florida's nicest state parks and it reminded me of North Carolina's outer banks. The area is beautiful and the campground nice and comfortable. There's lots to see and do in this park. Well worth the visit.
Probably our favorite coastal park! Beautiful and clean beaches by day, magnificent dark skies by night. The Park itself is massive with miles of beaches and several well equipped day use areas along with a few fabulous hiking and biking trails as well as a path to the bayside. The main park road is a safe place to ride bikes back and forth! Both tents and trailers/rv's are welcome at all but the ADA paved sites. Two bathhouses are centrally located. Most sites have vegetation between them and the ones along the back (higher numbered ones) back up to the dunes. The lower numbered ones back up to the coastal forest. Some sites are snug (#vanlife) so use the minimum length filter when booking. After dark the skies light up with stars! Certainly a great place for a family weekend. Southern hospitality at its best!
