What’s in the box?

I’m one of the two people working on Campnab. I like to run, ski, bike, and camp with my family and friends. (I love saunas.)

Find me:

Last week, a box arrived in the mail. On it was one word, spray painted in big letters: “THANKS”. There wasn’t a note inside, but we did find a bottle containing some seemingly delicious liquids. (FWIW: We plan to save it for a future camping trip, but even best laid plans…)

As I had no other information, I checked the mailing label. I probably didn’t need to, though. I was pretty darned sure that this was the work of Clayton from Edmonton.

For any of you watching our posts, you might remember Clayton sending us scotch after we added scanning for Alberta Parks. He even sent us a (really good) stapler, after I whined on Twitter about how crappy my old one was.

When I emailed Clayton to thank him for his generous gift, he explained: “You guys saved my ass again, the least we could do. It actually became a bit of a joke (we gotta send the Erics scotch) as we hit campground after campground, thanks in large part to campnab.”

We’re grateful that so many of y’all choose to use our little app. As a small operation, it’s customers like you who make what we do possible. Your kind words and support are welcome—and rather heartwarming. As for Clayton’s recent gift? Well, that will warm our tummies, too. 😉
