I’m one of the two people working on Campnab. I like to run, ski, bike, and camp with my family and friends. (I love saunas.)

Find me:

Last month we opened up the Campnab Community. It’s still rough around the edges, but we’re stoked about this addition. It’s a way for Campnab members to share their park experiences with one another.

As a little incentive, we offered up a sweepstakes prize. (Sweepstakes seems like an exaggeration, but apparently it’s the accurate term.) We asked campers to submit a review. Those who did were entered into a random draw to win a three-month Campnab subscription. Each review counted as a separate entry.

Misty Jackson was the lucky winner of this giveaway. She contributed a review of Cultus Lake Provincial Park, which you can read here. Congratulations Misty! Your 3-month subscription is all queued-up, and ready to help you find some campsite availabilities!

That said, I think the real winners from this contest were you and me. The park insights members offered up were just that good! These keen campers contributed reviews of parks including Yosemite National Park, Glacier National Park, Steamboat Lake State Park, McRae Point Provincial Park, Herald Provincial Park and many others. Want to have your say on a park? You can add a park review here.

I should also note that some members went waaaaay beyond with their contributions. Mary C Humphrey, Jessica O. from North Florida, Caroline Anne Robbins from Ottawa, and our friend Clayton from Edmonton (where’s your camper profile, Clayton?) all posted some remarkably useful reviews. Thanks to all of you!

Campnab Community is still in its infancy. (This is a nice way of saying that we have lots of work to do.) Nevertheless, we’re thrilled to see your contributions. We’re also excited to see this part of Campnab become a helpful tool for planning your camping trips.

P.S., Watching these reviews come in was so much fun that we’re thinking of doing another sweepstakes this month! If you have thoughts on it, or ideas for camping-related items we should use for prizes, let us know.
