I’m one of the two people working on Campnab. I like to run, ski, bike, and camp with my family and friends. (I love saunas.)

Find me:

We built Campnab around text messages—mostly because they’re fast. However, some members made a good case for offering alerts by email.

Some wanted a backup in case their cell provider had an outage. Others wished to receive alerts when they were out of cellular service. Yet others needed a way to share scanning duties with their spouse.

Well, you want it, you got it!

If you’d like to receive alerts by email, visit your Settings panel. Then add your email address in the field labeled “Email alerts”. Once you have, we’ll send you a verification email. Check your email inbox and click on the link in that email.

Doing so will verify your email address, allowing us to send you notifications via email. You can stop receiving alerts via email by removing your email address from the “Email alerts” field in Settings.

Two points I should make a note of:

We can send your alerts and receipts to different email addresses. This division is handy if your spouse wants to receive email alerts, but you manage household finances.

If you don’t receive your verification email within a few minutes, it’s probably in your spam folder. Oh, spam folders!
