I’m one of the two people working on Campnab. I like to run, ski, bike, and camp with my family and friends. (I love saunas.)

Find me:

Update Saturday 9:00 a.m, P.T.: Our provider has fully resolved this issue and we’re all systems go. Happy camping folks!  👍

Update Friday 2:20 p.m, P.T.: Our SMS partner reports that they’re seeing some recovery in their SMS and MMS networks. They’re continuing to work with carriers to fully resolve the issue.

Update Friday 10:52 a.m, PT: Our provider notes that they’re experiencing a widespread issue and that it’s all hands on deck as they work to resolve these interruptions.

Update Friday 9:59 a.m, PT: We’ve switched delivery to a new phone number, which is delivering most text messages. That said, some carriers might block these as they’re sent by an unfamiliar number. In the meanwhile, our provider is continuing to resolve the underlying issue.

If you try to sign into Campnab this morning, you might find yourself stuck. Unfortunately, we have some service disruptions today.

Here’s what’s happening:

We rely on a partner for delivering text messages, and they’re experiencing an outage. This outage affects our service (as well as many others).

Our partner is aware of the problem and working actively to resolve it. This SMS delivery partner has been reliable. In the past 4+ years, they’ve only had minor issues.

I’m sorry about this delay. Our system tends to be pretty stable. Nevertheless, outages like this aren’t reassuring, and we’re embarrassed about this situation.

We already see some progress with our SMS partner. As such, we hope that we’ll have this sorted out in the next couple of hours.

Once again, our apologies, and thank you for your patience!
