I’m one of the two people working on Campnab. I like to run, ski, bike, and camp with my family and friends. (I love saunas.)

Find me:

Filtering remains a challenging aspect of campsite scanning for two reasons. The first is that Campnab scans many different booking systems, and each classifies their sites differently. We need to integrate each one individually (sometimes these are categorized in strange ways).

The second is that filters can cause problems for some people. We receive notes from members who’ve received few (or no) alerts from time to time. When we check their filtering, we often find that they’ve added so many filters that they’ve inadvertently limited their results.

As such, we’re careful to integrate new filters effectively—and avoid adding options that might get some folks in trouble. We already allow filtering of electric/non-electric campsites in several areas. Today, we added these for Washington State and Ontario, too.

We’ll keep picking away at filters and adding more as we can. Enjoy those last few days of summer!
