If you camp in Alberta, thank Clayton

I’m one of the two people working on Campnab. I like to run, ski, bike, and camp with my family and friends. (I love saunas.)

Find me:

A few weeks ago, Clayton from Edmonton reached out to us. He asked if we’d consider adding Alberta to the areas Campnab scans. We noted that our plate was pretty full, but that we wanted to at some point.

Our chat went on for a while, and we couldn’t help but like Clayton. A couple of days later, Eric S. decided to squeeze Alberta in, between adding some other features. (Besides, we’re right next door, and would like to camp more in Alberta, once the pandemic passes.)

After we’d added monitoring of Alberta Parks for canceled campsite reservations, I sent Clayton a note to let him know. He seemed happy, but we didn’t realize how much so.

The next week, a box arrived at my doorstep. Inside, was a meticulously packed bottle of scotch (mmm… scotchy scotch scotch). We were pretty wowed by this. It’s the most delicious thank-you we’ve ever received.

So, let’s just say you give Campnab a go, and it helps you find a beautiful Alberta campsite. When you arrive there, this summer, I ask you to do the following: Lean back in your chair and take in the view. Then, raise your glass and toast Clayton. (We certainly intend to.)
