I’m one of the two people working on Campnab. I like to run, ski, bike, and camp with my family and friends. (I love saunas.)

Find me:

We’re receiving a number of messages asking about the status of varying parks. Unfortunately, we can’t offer much information on this front. Although we can scan for cancellations, we don’t have any involvement in the policies of public parks.

That said, it does appear that some regions are working to open their parks up (some with certain restrictions in place). Saskatchewan provincial parks’ reservations system opened up this Monday. Alberta is looking to reopen for June, but only for Albertans. BC Parks is working on a plan to reopen.

Stateside, most parks remain closed. That said, South Carolina state parks and campgrounds reopened on May 1. Arkansas is also in the process of opening up camping. Wyoming State Parks will partially reopen to residents beginning May 15.

This is far from a complete list of openings. That said, it does appear that there’s movement—and that some of us will be camping this summer. 🙌

We hope you’re one of the lucky ones who gets some time in front of a campfire, this summer. If you are, please be careful, keep social distancing, and stay safe.
