I’m one of the two people working on Campnab. I like to run, ski, bike, and camp with my family and friends. (I love saunas.)
Find me:
Summer’s gone. So is any hint of your tan. As it fades, the melancholy of the season sinks in. Mundane tasks make one day unrecognizable from the next. Light? That mainly comes from your monitor’s glow.
My question to you is: Does it need to be over? Follow-up question: Should you take a more active role in your happiness? The outdoors are still there—and with added adventure at this time of year.
Head over to your storage shed, collect your camping gear, and make a plan for a fall outing. Camping season is far from over unless you’re a tourist. You and me? We’re here for the entire camping experience, right?
The above was supposed to kick off a brief post about camping in the fall. That said, there’s just so much to cover—and I’m a talker. In no time, this article was way too long for one post. So, I broke it up into the following 12 installments:
1. Adventure Begins When the Crowds Go Home
2. This Is What Sucks About Camping in the Fall
3. Get Your Shit Together for Fall Camping, SO YOU DON’T DIE!
4. What to Wear When Camping in the Cold and Wet
5. Pack This Essential Gear for Your Fall Camping Adventures
6. Pitch Camp Like a Pro in the Fall Season
7. Adapt Your Cooking Setup for Off-Season Camping
8. Fun Activities for Fall Camping Trips
9. A Bundle of Tips for Staying Warm at Camp
10. How to Make Sleep Cozy When Camping in the Cold
11. Ways to Keep Your Family Safe When Camping Off-Season
12. Pulling the Plug on Doomed Adventures (And Some Post-trip Tips)
Not sure where to start? Well, then start here: Adventure Begins When the Crowds Go Home. If you spot a mistake or think we’ve missed something, please tell us!
Happy camping, and remember to pack your woolies!
