I’m one of the two people working on Campnab. I like to run, ski, bike, and camp with my family and friends. (I love saunas.)
Find me:
Given all of the challenges in booking a campsite, Owen, Lynn, and Maggie (from VAN TREKKING lifestyle) started using Campnab to help find available campsites in Florida State Parks. So far, Campnab has worked out pretty well for them, and they’ve been able to book a number of hard to get campsites through cancellation alerts.
Along the way, a number of folks have asked about their experience with the service. So, Owen put together a video explaining what Campnab is, how it works, and what they’ve discovered.
I particularly like that he reminds everyone watching that Campnab isn’t a booking site. Instead, it offers you the convenience of setting up scan to monitor a park for availabilities, and get notified when newly cancelled campsite reservations become available.
In the video, he offers a step-by-step walk through of how to set up a scan. He also offers a set of tips based on his real-world experience with Campnab. (He even shares some ideas we hadn’t thought of before!) So, if you’re considering trying Campsite to notify you of availabilities at sold out campgrounds, you might find the video helpful.
The weekend is only a day away. Get out there! 🤙
