I’m one of the two people working on Campnab. I like to run, ski, bike, and camp with my family and friends. (I love saunas.)

Find me:

This past week, Konstantin signed up for Campnab. He received his access code… but then nothing. So, he got in touch to ask if there was a problem. Turned out, there was.

We checked the logs and saw that we’d sent Konstantin a number of campsite availability alerts. Unfortunately, he’d never received them. Our hunch was that his messages were being blocked by his telco.

Konstantin contacted Public Mobile (his provider) and asked them to stop blocking messages from 1-877-626-0108. They did, and he soon started receiving alerts for newly available campsites—which made him pretty happy.

Telcos work to block spam messages. This is a good thing… but not when they block legit text messages. Although this doesn’t happen often, it certainly can occur.

Are you not receiving alerts from us? Do you think something might be wrong? Contact us by email or click the Chat button up top, and we’ll check for you.
